I Hate Door Handles That Are Hollow on the Back
My parents have had the same uPVC front door for about twenty five years. Every time I visit it annoys me as it is tatty, scratched up and grubby, so I decided to buy them a replacement handle.
I bought one from Toolstation and fitted it. It's a really smart polished chrome handle and it is much more substantial than their old handle. The first time I used it though I noticed that the rear of the handle is 'hollowed out'; it is not a solid piece of metal. You can feel a 'hole' with structural parts for rigidity.
My parents won't care and probably won't even notice, but I will be annoyed each time I visit. I've swapped one annoyance for another!
